Gan Yachad was established over ten years ago and serves the local orthodox community in Hendon.  It was previously based at Hendon United Synagogue, but recently relocated to Kisharon College (although is currently temporarily based at Hendon Reform Synagogue). The nursery provides a warm, loving and caring environment helping children to develop to their full potential at their own pace. It is open Monday to Friday, 9.15am to 1.15pm and can take up to 26 children. Children bring a morning snack and a parev (non-milky and non-meaty) lunch, and milk and water is provided.

Gan Yachad is registered with Ofsted and follows the Early Years Foundation Stage. It celebrates all Jewish festivals and holds a Shabbat party every Friday to which parents and grandparents of the Shabbat family are invited. Parents are also invited to Chanukah, Purim and end of year parties. A weekly newsletter is sent home informing parents of what the children have learnt during the course of the week.
