St Johns Wood Synagogue Kindergarten is a warm, safe place for 2-5 year olds to learn and grow within a Jewish environment. It nurtures children’s natural curiosity and feesd their imaginations by providing activities and resources across all areas of learning. Children will develop close relationships with experienced staff, thereby building self-esteem, self-confidence and skills in communication. By encouraging an open parent-staff dialogue it creates a supportive and friendly environment for all.

The kindergarten follows the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. This describes how it should best support the development, learning and care of young children.

Through a variety of stimulating activities, it provides opportunities for learning and development according to the six EYFS areas: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy; Communication, Language and Literacy; Knowledge and Understanding of the World; Physical Development and Emotional Development.

Learning is placed within a Jewish framework. The Festivals, Shabbat and Jewish values are introduced throughout the year. St Johns Wood Synagogue Kindergarten aims to give a sweet and pleasant introduction to our heritage.
