Nagila, which means "rejoice," is the nursery of Edgware and District Reform Synagogue. It offers a safe, secure and stimulating setting in which pre-school children are free to develop to their full potential in a friendly and nurturing Jewish environment. The school is purpose built with its own secure outdoor play area, which is used daily and gives the children space to move and learn.
The nursery has a maximum of 40 children and at least eight staff are on duty each day. All teachers hold recognised Early Years qualifications.
Nagila Nursery is open Monday to Friday from 9.20am to 12.20pm. Afternoon sessions are also offered Monday to Thursday until 2.20pm. These start directly after the main morning session, and children attending bring a packed lunch.
Nagila is registered with the the Borough of Barnet and complies fully with all the requirements of The Children Act. Nagila was graded an outstanding setting by Ofsted in June 2010. In May 2005, Nagila received a SureStart Investors in Children Award.
