Simon Marks Jewish Primary School is a voluntary-aided co-educational school based in Hackney, London. The school has 185 pupils on the school roll and an intake of 30 children for Reception.
The school’s curriculum is broad, balanced and encompasses the National Curriculum. Religious education is provided in accordance with orthodox Jewish teachings from a modern orthodox perspective. It aims to instil in its pupils an understanding, love and respect for the Jewish religion, a knowledge of Jewish history, a love of their heritage and respect for Jewish traditional Torah values.
In it’s last Ofsted report in May 2009, inspectors said: “Its strengths include pupils' personal development and well-being and the way they are all cared for and supported.”
